Innovia Films is a leading global manufacturer of Biaxially Orientated Polypropylene (BOPP) films, supplying highly differentiated speciality products into the packaging, labels, tobacco overwrap and securities markets.

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our R&D team. Reporting to our New Product Development Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of new product and raw material development projects through multi-functional project teams. You will be able to draw on experience and expertise to ensure successful delivery of projects that achieve business growth and maintain product security. Although based in Wigton, projects can be undertaken for any of the Innovia Films production sites. Through regular liaison with suppliers and customers you will be able to identify and recommend new business opportunities.

This is a permanent, full time role working Monday to Friday, 08:30 until 17:00.

About You

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline, preferably Chemistry or Polymer Science.
• Experienced in project management with a track record for successful delivery in film manufacture or polymer extrusion.
• A conceptual thinker who is results focused and able to achieve through using initiative.
• Strong ability to lead teams and manage people effectively.
• A strong influencer and communicator, comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders
• Able to learn, quickly understanding new concepts and able to relate to your areas of expertise
• Logical thinker and able to deliver results under pressure with tight timescales.
• Experience and understanding of BOPP Film manufacture would be an advantage.
