Innovia Films is a leading global manufacturer of Biaxially Orientated Polypropylene (BOPP) films, supplying highly differentiated speciality products into the packaging, labels, tobacco overwrap and securities markets.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support both internally and for our broad customer base. Internally you will support multiple development projects working with our R&D teams and business units to create new products that will bring value to our markets. You will play a key role in early testing at both customers and co-suppliers to ensure the product performs as required. In addition, you will champion the customer, by ensuring that our product range maintains the technical quality requirements needed to ensure our products are the product of choice.

As Technical Services & Application Development Representative, you will co-ordinate and oversee customer complaints, investigating them to bring around a swift and efficient resolution. Additionally you will advise and support customers on technical related issues with the aim of maximising sales and introducing new business opportunities.

This role will require someone who is keen to make a difference and thrives on a diverse role remit where no two days are the same. The role will involve travel both in the UK and overseas and is a genuine opportunity for career progression for the right candidate.

This is a permanent, full time role working Monday to Friday, 08:30 until 17:00.

About You

• You should have a broad knowledge of the use of plastic films in packaging and labels applications. This may have been gained from suppliers into the polymer industry or from associated areas such as ink / adhesive producers, converters or users of filmic materials.
• A background in R&D or prior technical support functions would be advantageous.
• Have a high level of computer literacy, inclusive knowledge of Microsoft and SAP.
• Excellent all round communication skills.
• Comfortable handling potentially confrontational situations.
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills.
• A logical thinker with good problem solving skills.
• Experience in packaging or the label industry (desirable).
• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (desirable).
